Banking – It’s Personal Again
Columbus, GA – 18 years

Mr. Stranger and his organizing directors filed an application with the State Banking Department of Georgia and the FDIC to establish a new community bank in Columbus, Georgia and have received preliminary approval to begin their capital raising. The Bank will raise a minimum of $12 million and a maximum of $16 million. With the increased presence of large regional banks in the Muscogee County area, many bank customers have stated that they are being underserved. There has not been a ‘true’ community bank in the area for the past 18 years. As the mega banks continue to allocate resources from the community to larger metropolitan areas, Columbus Community Bank (in organization) plans to seize this opportunity to put their customers money to work in the community.

Bob Stranger has assembled an executive management team with collectively over 100 years of banking experience. The team consists of Dennis Calhoun, Executive VP and Senior Loan Officer, Gary Ledbetter, Senior VP and CFO, Mike Tarleton, Senior VP Commercial Lending and Robert Stranger, President & CEO.

Mr. Stranger and his organizing directors are bringing back the hometown philosophy to banking. Together with his twelve organizing directors, all of whom are either natives of the Muscogee County area or currently have business practices in the county, the proposed Board believes in serving the community and completely understanding the financial needs of the bank’s clients. “Its important that both our Board and Management teams have an active interest and knowledge of this community. This is the foundation of our vision – its our community too.”

In addition to Bob Stranger, other organizing directors include Phillip M. Adams, Kenneth L. Coolik, John C. Fortenberry, Carl L. Gregory, Morton A. Harris, Roger L. Hewitt, Alonzo E. Jones, Sr., D.L. Jordon, Raymond W. Kaufman, Michael C. McMillen, Eugenio E. Seda, and John L. Waldrop. Mr. Adams is a Senior VP with Morgan Keegan & Co and has been in the investment business for 46 years. Mr. Coolik has been in the insurance industry for over 30 years and is currently the VP and Manager of the Columbus office for Hutchinson-Taylor Insurance Agency. Mr. Fortenberry has been a CPA in the Columbus area for over 23 years and presently serves as the managing partner for his firm, Albright, Fortenberry & Ninas, LLP. Mr. Gregory currently owns the Carl Gregory Family of Companies, which operates numerous retail car companies in the Southeast. “With the Board’s business practices and collective knowledge of Columbus and the Muscogee County area, the Bank will have greater flexibility in serving the financial needs of the community” stated John Kline of Kline & Associates, a financial institution consulting firm. Mr. Stranger added, “This is a time of tremendous growth for Muscogee and the surrounding counties. Columbus Community Bank will be a positive impact of the continued growth for generations to come.” The establishment of Columbus Community Bank is truly a vision in terms of service.

The Bank will be located at 5560 Whittlesey Boulevard. Columbus Community Bank will offer traditional banking services, yet cater to the specific needs of the 21st century community. For more information on the new bank or a Prospectus, contact Bob Stranger at 706-494-0016.
